Who is missing from the converstation
I guess I just assumed I would hear from people like Chris Seah, Mark Driscoll and Dan Kimball more. I never hear of anyone talking about them in the blogosphere. Why not? As I read the Emergent Blog and learn about the process of putting together a massive convention I assumed people would suggest having Chris, Mark or Dan speak as main session speakers. Dan was at San Diego last year as a break out session leader and he did a critical concerns course but I that was it (Actually that is a lot from Dan). So what is up? Why aren't these guys heard from more? Perhaps I am out of the loop?
I was wonderingif these guys were too evangelical to be in the mainstream of emergent. Do any of my evanglical brothers and sisters feel like there is very little voice from our point of view in the emergent dialogue? Do my mainline brothers and sisters feel we have said enough already?

Chris Seay (note spelling) and Dan Kimball are on friendly terms with Emergent, and I saw both of them at EC04 Nashville last year. Their absence may be due to scheduling or other reasons.
Mark Driscoll kinda has his own network going with Acts 29 http://www.acts29network.org/
It may be fair to say that Emergent is a particular kind of emerging churches, and there are other kinds of emerging churches with different theological flavors, cf. Erwin McManus' Mosaic, Tim Keller's Redeemer, Ed Young's Fellowship, Andy Stanley, Ken Baugh formerly of Frontline, etc.
Now, while Emergent is open arms to have a potentially have a wider diversity of theological flavors in its mix, those others may not be as comfortable being a part of Emergent.
